Sameer Gupta, MD, FAAD, FACMS

Board-Certified Dermatologist & Mohs Surgeon

Dr. Sameer Gupta is a fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgeon whose practice centers on the surgical treatment of skin cancer and the reconstruction that follows it. He is on faculty at Harvard Medical School and practices as a Mohs surgeon and dermatologist at Mass Eye and Ear.

He completed his undergraduate work at Yale College, graduating summa cum laude and receiving the Hart Lyman Prize, awarded to one member of the graduating class for character and achievement. He then studied at the University of Cambridge as a Churchill Scholar before earning his medical degree with honors from Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Gupta trained in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, completed his dermatology residency in the Harvard combined program, and finished fellowship training in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Over the course of his training he worked across Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Beth Israel Lahey Health.

His clinical and research work focuses on improving how skin cancer is managed, and he has authored more than twenty peer-reviewed papers, review articles, and book chapters.
